Tango practices / “Milonguita”
What ? Our “biweekly” socializing and your opportunity to practice and maintain your tango steps and a chance to getting used to dancing with different dance partners and to moving freely in a milonga (tango salon); and above all to enjoy, not the least the music.
When ? On Thursday evening, “biweekly”, from 8 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., except in the months of July and August and between Christmas and New Year; that is 42 x per year.
Where ? Usually in the ballet hall of the Kortrijk City Theatre. Address: Hazelaarstraat 7 Kortrijk. Exceptionnally at another location in Kortrijk – therefore always first check our calendar.
Accessibility: – by train: the railway station of Kortrijk is at only 3 min. walking distance of the City Theatre. – by car: you can park nearby in the underground car park Parking Schouwburg. It may be advisable to come early (by 8 p.m.), because at times the center of Kortrijk on Thursday evening is busy and then it may be hard to find another parking lot in the surrounding streets.
Location: You can access the ballet hall along the left side wall of the City Theatre, through a metal fence, the ‘Artiesteningang’ (artists’ entry). Furtheron take the stairs up to the top (3rd) floor. Whew, a good-warm up to start with. 😉
Entrance code: Since September 2019 you need a code to open the metal fence giving entrance to the ballet hall. In case you might arrive at the closed fence without the code, call (0032) (0)485 680 770. We will then come and let you in.

For whom ? We welcome everyone who loves to dance tango or wants to learn it. Dancers from the four winds meet each other here, french speaking as much as dutch speaking people.
The music: is generally being played by one of our own DJs and frequently we invite a renown guest-DJ (check the calendar for each occasion). The music is organized in tandas, as it is in a milonga (tango salon), creating a pleasant variety of tangos, waltzes and milongas, and of different orchestras and periods, so inviting to dance with different dance partners.
Entrance fee: 4 € per person. There is no membership.
Drinks: The ballet hall has no bar; therefore please bring your own drink bottle (and pick it up when you leave). However, if you have something to celebrate, we gladly interrupt our evening for sharing your drink, snack or treat.
